I think Dragon Age was immersive. I would get upset when someone called me "knife ears" or some other elven epithet. Although, on the bigger morality questions I tended to try and balance a lot of factors in my decision making process. Such as, my responsibility as a Gray Warden, as an Elf, to my companions, and to the world in general.

pvpbob comments on Dragon Age Review

Wow, an A. I'm impressed.

Not the biggest fantasy guy myself I (at first) didn't put too much thought to this title, but with your review and that of a couple others I read/watch/listen to I can't help but become interested.

With the gray morality, and more social impeding aspects to the classes and races did you feel yourself being put into the characters shoes and played it as if it you were in that possition or did you wind up making decisions based on how you felt the character would have ran with it?

pvpbob comments on A Somewhat Brutal: Brutal Legend Review

Ahahahahaaha you knew the reference. Dork.

So this kind of title goes into an ongoing question of mine. Can theme/atmosphere or "character in spades" be enough to make a great game?

I think its clear that Brutal Legend would have been a mediocre title without the hilariously well thought out setting. House of the Dead: Overkill comes to mind as well. Not the best frame rate and not exactly reinventing the light gun but f'n hilarious and great with friends.

Personally I feel if the title entertains it does its job no matter what.

Oh and TK421, don't take the path of least resistance on teh interwebs take the higher ground of trolling. Go for the crack that the others didn't see. Troll strong my friend, troll strong. If your not quite there yet maybe try out a "That's what she said"t. Start small, work up to a better way of trolling.
